Miss Ruth Adelotte, age 80 years, a life resident of Newtown and employee of the Central National Bank, Newtown Branch for 60 years, died Saturday, July 8, 1978, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. Born in 1898, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Fischer Adelotte. Miss Adelotte retired in November, 1977. She was a graduate of Newtown High School and was a member of the United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 282, both of Newtown. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Helen Ellis of Venice Calif.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Cleo Adelotte of Louisville, Ky., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Louis McKee officiated at these services. Mrs. Leslie Grubb at the organ accompanied Mrs. Robert Quirk, who sang "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace" and "'The Lord's Prayer." Eastern Star services were held Monday evening. Burial was in Newtown cemetery with John Bacon, David Harshbarger, John Peterson, Clarence McClure, Pat Peevler and Robert Jenks II, serving as pallbearers.
